Activities of the Lunar Reclamation Society (NSS-Milwaukee) - 2003 - January 10, 2004
In 2003, LRS met on the 2nd Saturday afternoon every month except July (when we went on a field trip - see below) and August.

Saturday, Jan. 11th meeting: Bob Bialecki brought in two videos which we watched:
This Old House episode in which Steve Thomas and Norm Abrams tour the Kennedy Space center facilities including the VAB, launch pad, and Space Station mockups, and actual docking node prior to launch.Discovery Channel Video, "Moon Dreams" featuring several key people in the for-profit back to the Moon arena, including Moon Society President Greg Bennett, Lunar Prospector's Alan Binder, and SpaceDev CEO .

March 8th Meeting Report: Peter reported on the agreement reached between LRS & the Moon Society over MMM hardcopy and pdf format pricing for copies to Moon Society Members.
April 2003
Our "You can fly on Mars!" Outreach event at Mitchell International Airport's Aviation Career Days was cancelled due to the outbreak of hostilities in Iraq.
May 2003
LRS & Moon Soc. Milwaukee Outpost had a booth at the Rockets for Schools event in Sheboygan, May 16-17th. Featured was the new Artemis Project display, as we have no way to transport the table top Moonbase..
October 2003
On October 12th, the day after the October issue of Moon Miners' Manifesto # 169 went to press, we had a massive hard drive failure in our desktop computer. Thanks to the Apple Store, which managed to take an "image" of the hard drive, all the files were saved and transferred to a DVD. It took several months to recover from this event, and the November and December issues were quite late.
November 2003
November 8th total lunar eclipsen. Charlotte & Gene invited everyone up to their "dark skies" home east of West Bend for the occasion.
November 15th Outreach Opportunity Report: Matt Giovanelli of the Wisconsin Mars Society had arranged for that chapter to have an information table at the State Lego competition at Rufus King HS, the theme of the event being "Mission to Mars." We contributed several display items, including a diorama of the Arctic Mars Station on Canada's Devon Island.
